Angela Blacklaw
Angela spent 20 years supporting individual and organisational learning, communication and change in the civil service, including posts as Head of Internal Communications in the Food Standards Agency, Head of Change Communications and Culture Change in Defra, and Head of Talent Development in the Department of Health. Since 2011, Angela has worked as an associate for respected consultancies such as the Korn Ferry Hay Group, Mind Gym and the i-coach academy where she is a faculty member, teaching on their post-graduate Coaching Certification Programme. Angela has delivered for clients including Civil Service Learning, Health Education England, the NHS Leadership Academy, the Church of England, Sellafield Ltd and Liberty Mutual. Angela is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and a NLP Master Practitioner, and holds a Certificate in Organisation Development from the NTL Institute, a Master of Science in Human Resources and is an accredited 'Time to Think' faciltator.
Nicki McKay
Nicki has a wealth of expertise at a senior level within a number of organisations, both public and private. As a consultant, trainer, facilitator and coach, Nicki has worked with a variety of organisations including the Department of Health, Civil Service Learning, Human Tissue Authority, Health Education East of England, NHS Leadership Academy, Central & Cecil Housing, Delphi Automative and Virgin Atlantic. Clare Beck
Clare is a facilitator and impact coach. She specialises in bringing leadership to life. Her approach is practical and experiential. Originally an actress, a large part of her work involves “bespoke” practice, working 1-2-1 or in small groups enabling the safe practice of live issues and coaching from an appreciative perspective. She is also an experienced Forum Theatre practitioner. She has designed and delivered programmes, both Assessment and Development, for the NHS, the Higher Education sector (academic and support staff), and the private sector, including global accountancy and legal firms and the manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries: (Presentation Skills, Impact, Delivering Effective PDRs, Coaching, Handling Difficult Conversations, Vital Conversations, Harassment Awareness, Zero Tolerance - Dealing with Violence, Media Skills.)
As an Associate of Practive she has partnered with The Kings Fund on a number of different programmes and she is currently working on The Top Leaders and Senior Operational Leaders programmes for The NHS Leadership Academy. As an Associate of Korn Ferry Hay Group she is also currently part of the team delivering two national leadership programmes for NHS staff, again for the NHS Leadership Academy. As an Associate of Talking Shop she is currently delivering appraisal training for all academic and professional staff at Southampton University.
Sophie Bryan
Sophie is a former Director of Workplace Culture & HR, and has over 16 years experience in Generalist HR, Learning and Development, Organisational Development and Business Transformation, spent mainly within the Social Housing sector. She works as an associate for several training providers, and has delivered the NHS England Line Manager Development Programme, Managing Across Boundaries workshop, as well as facilitated and coached a Hydra activity, part of the Senior Leadership Development Programme.
Sophie holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel and Development, and the CMI Level 7 Executive Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership. She is a Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner and Coach, and Certified Action Learning Coach. She has also been the winner of a Personnel Today Award for Excellence in Employee Engagement, runner up for the Personnel Today Award for Excellence in Learning and Development, Runner up for the Women in Housing Excellence in Leadership Coaching and Mentoring Award and received the Highly Commended Award for the Pearson’s Learning at Work Award.
Kelly Evans
Kelly is an experienced Management Consultant with a successful track record of designing, delivering and integrating a range of talent development interventions. Key areas of expertise include developing leaders at all levels, facilitation, assessment,designing development programmes, coaching and 1-1, development feedback, job analysis and job evaluation.
After a happy and successful decade of working for a well-respected management consultancy she took the decision to start her own company, allowing her to focus more fully on the area of leadership
and talent development. She is driven by an interest in what inspires people to be the best version of themselves. Translating this into her work she wants to help organisations to think through the
different ways that they can create the right conditions to support individuals to develop, grow and perform at their highest level.
Claire Webzell
Claire has over 20 years’ experience as a facilitator, actor and coach, working across many business sectors on development and assessment programmes, as well as one–to–one coaching. Extensive work with the NHS includes, for the Leadership Academy: Top Leaders, Aspiring Directors, Senior Operational Leaders, Frontline Nursing Programmes and Graduate Management Training Scheme. As a Leadership Associate with Korn Ferry Hay Group she facilitated on the Mary Seacole Programme.
Originally trained as an actor, Claire has designed and delivered a range of practical workshops including; Presentation Skills; Personal Impact; Team Building ‘away days’; Harassment Awareness and Interview skills. Clients have included: Guardian Media Group, Harvey Nichols, The Scottish Parliament, Manchester City Council, Civil Service Learning and several NHS Trusts.
Claire is an Associate with Practive, where work focuses on leadership in practice; clients include the NHS, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Royal College of Surgeons, The Kings Fund, Social Services and Solace. She last appeared on stage as ‘Mother’ in ‘The Railway Children’ at Keswick’s Theatre by the Lake, and is a member of Manchester Playback Theatre.
